Pull back the curtain, set that mic up, have vocal warm-ups been done yet, hurry we’re starting in 5 minutes, don’t be nervous.

On November 30 choir had their opening night for the winter concert with the theme of Christmas. Students sang and danced on stage with the joy and happiness of Christmas, bringing the crowd alve.

“I enjoyed the fact that they let everyone of all singing levels come together and enjoyed themselves,’ said Shawn Baker.

There were the normal Christmas songs such as Thankful, “Twas The NIght Before Christmas, Run Rudolph Run and many more.

“Watching students take original songs and mash them up, they took songs that were known and put their own twist them,” said Khaila Weaver

There was even a rap written by two students Jakai Drayton and Jamell Smith.

“My dad said he didn’t expect the rap to be the way it was but it was really funny and he lived how it turned out,” said Amani Holloway-White.

Philip Nazario brought some heartbreaks and love to the people in the crowd that love Justin Bieber and Mistletoes.

“When Philip walked down in the crowd and sang to everyone, it was like a heart throb coming to life,” said Raena Baker.

The people in the crowd were alive and the singers were feeding off of their vibe.

“I was nervous when I first got on stage but soon after the first song, I realized that being on the stage wasn’t that bad,” said Destiny Fregoso.

Christmas is coming soon and choir helped giving the people who went, the feel of a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
