All eyes are on Varsity Baseball as their season is coming to an end.

Varsity Baseball has played a total of 22 games so far during the 2017-2018 season as of May 8, 2017. They have a total of 10 wins and 12 losses. As the last two games of the season are creeping up, the boys are working extremely hard to win these next two games to tie with rivalry team, Moreno Valley High School.

“This team has a lot of potential. I can see the hunger inside of them. It’s very strong.” said Senior Jesse Fernandez.

The whole team stays determined and never takes their eyes off the prize. They always do their very best during practice and especially during games to not only win league but most importantly to have fun and play the sport they adore.

“We’re determined as heck!” Said Junior Gustavo Valadez-Garcia “We want to win league so bad. We motivate each other and we’re determined to come to practice and work hard everyday.”

They’ve practiced everyday for about an hour and a half since the first day of school. The boys have stayed focused on winning games and have taken one game at a time.

“Everyone gives their 110%. We’re all focused on one thing and one thing only.” Said Senior Andrew Pena.

Varsity Baseball is hoping to end season with 12-12 in league to tie against MVHS and play in CIF.
