How to make french toast cupcakes

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, while dessert is probably the favorite. Why not combine both? Here is how to make some delicious french toast cupcakes.

The ingredients you will need:

4 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
3 teaspoons imitation maple extract
4 large eggs
2 cups buttermilk, well-shaken

For the struesel swirl:
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon imitation maple extract


First things first, Pre-heat your oven to 360 degrees.


Then, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.

Then, combine the softened butter and sugar in separate bowl.

Measure 2 cups of buttermilk, then add the vanilla and maple extract.

Combine the buttermilk solution with the butter

Mix until it creates a liquid consistency

Then add the dry ingredients

Mix until the batter is a thick consistency

This Batter should make about 24 cupcakes

Line the cupcake tins with cupcake liners, filling it about 3/4 of the way.

After you would create a brown sugar topping, which would be mixed into the batter.

3/4 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon imitation maple extract

and combine until all the lumps are gone

then add into the cupcake batter, and mix

Bake for 15-17 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from oven and place on a cooling rack.

If wanted, add pipping frosting to make the cupcake sweeter.

There you have it, French Toast Cupcakes.
