In an essential Mountain Valley League match-up, the VDL Ravens were able to dismantle any hopes of a win by the visiting San Bernardino Cardinals. The Ravens ran up the box score with a 13-2 victory after five incomplete innings, putting the mercy rule into effect. With Junior Jesse Fernandez on the bump, Vista was able to limit the Cardinals to a mere two runs, driving in nine RBI’s on only six hits. With this win, the Ravens adopt an overall record of 13-5, boosting their Mountain Valley League record to an undefeated 11-0. The Ravens will now take on the Banning Broncos in a two game series, first at home and then at Banning. The first of these two will take place today on the Varsity field, and Thursday the 5th on the Banning Varsity field.
